I think it's a fairly new term - but I'm glad it exists because it puts a name to this insidious phenomenon.

YES to this. I only realised recently that not holding up the societal norms of hierarchy is a neurospicy thing. I truly believe that everyone is the same, no one is better than anyone else. This is way I've never been great in proper employment with a boss, because they are no different to me. It's also why I self publish my books, hierarchy in publishing is just another version of hierarchy in governments....

Anyway, I digress, I've met a lot of famous people in my 40+ years, partly due to a job I had and partly due to geography.

Never once did I ask for a photo or autograph. I literally treated them the same as the next person which some of them did comment on with gratitude.

I'm not expecting any prizes her btw, I just find it fascinating - the whole pedestal thing.
